Automated data pipelines for rapid response to MHRA alerts:

When the MHRA withdrew the post-operative indication for modified-release opioids, we used a research-ready peri-operative dataset to measure prescribing across more than 100,000 elective surgical cases at UCLH. The talk shows how routine data pipelines can support a rapid response to a safety alert, and how the findings fed into an electronic health record prompt to support safer prescribing.
